The day I brought my family to stand beneath the “Arc de Triomphe” in France 🇫🇷.
Let me look back for a moment. In my last two years of school, besides my native language German and the universal English language, our teachers gave us the opportunity to choose a third language. I chose French. At that time, international trade between Thailand and France was booming and showed such promising future prospects! But who could have known? Fifteen years later, the languages taking over Thailand are Russian and Chinese! 😩
Ah well, it doesn’t matter anymore, because most of the French I learned I’ve already “given back to my teachers” anyway! 😅😅
When I started learning French, I remember thinking it was such a beautiful, melodic language. But then came the struggle with grammar, the “Le, La, Les,” the genders of nouns (masculine and feminine) and even “ambiguous” forms 😅, along with many other rules. Still, I fell in love with the demanding sounds of the language, the rolling of the tongue, the way you have to purse your lips, and the hand gestures used while speaking.
I find it so charming! 😅 I have studied many of the world’s architectural wonders, which sparked in me the dream of seeing them with my own eyes, whether it’s the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre Museum, the Palace of Versailles, or the famous “Champs-Élysées”. Or Disneyland Paris. In fact, I once had the opportunity to visit France alone (with my business partners), but coming back this time with my mother and my son feels magical, beyond words… 🥰❤️
It was truly worth revisiting this place with my family.
Stay tuned for the next episode… 😊💪🏻
