Unbelievable! Tourists are putting everything on the line to get the perfect snapshot with the deceased whale “Timmy”. The beloved humpback whale that captivated all of Europe died and washed ashore on Denmark’s island of Anholt in mid-May.
But beware! Whale carcasses become extremely bloated due to decomposition gases and can explode at any moment. Authorities strictly warned people not to approach the carcass. But what happened? Adventure-seeking tourists flocked to the scene to take photos and record videos.
One particularly daring visitor even performed a somersault right in front of the dead whale, without considering that a “BOOM” could have occurred at that very moment. Had the whale exploded at that second, the stench and putrid fluids would probably have been the last thing this daredevil would ever have wanted to experience. The horror of such an experience can linger for days or even weeks.
A look at Taiwan in 2004 is enough, where an exploding whale covered entire streets with an unimaginably stinking mass. The online community is shaking its head, but can’t help laughing as it imagines how the bold acrobat wouldn’t have gotten rid of that stench for the next three lifetimes.
